ABOUT
Hi, I’m Wynter Jones — a 2D artist based in Sherwood, Oregon, originally from Kaysville, Utah. I’ve been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember, earning my BFA from the University of Utah in 2004. My creative path has always been intertwined with education; after receiving my M.Ed from Portland State University in 2016, I’ve spent the last ten years teaching art and nurturing creativity in young people.
My work often explores memory, identity, and the emotional residue of belief systems. I’m currently preparing for a solo show debuting in December 2025 at Imperfecta, a dynamic art gallery located in downtown Oregon City. This new body of work revisits fragmented stories from my Mormon upbringing — a religion I left 25 years ago, but one whose echoes still shape my inner world. These pieces serve as both excavation and exorcism, sifting through the poetry of shame, guilt, and fear I knew so intimately as a child.

Thank you for visiting my site and being part of this journey.
